MISSION, VISION & VALUES

 

EthiCare Solutions is built on a vision that embraces the dynamic nature of individual potential throughout the different stages of life and seeks to encourage an ethic of care that supports these changes.  We believe that developing a culture of ethics informed through collaboration is key to achieving this vision. 

Mission: To strengthen ethics capacity in residential care communities that support seniors and people living with dementia.

PHILOSOPHY

EthiCare Solutions' methods are grounded in a philosophy that seeks to secure the citizenship rights of individuals who are living in long-term care, residential care, or with assistance at home.  Our goal is to mitigate the impact of health care inequities, promote the flourishing of individuals, safeguard dignity, and minimize moral distress by helping organizations create and sustain a culture of ethics. 

Using a collaborative and multidisciplinary approach that draws from the fields of bioethics, community health, critical gerontology, health literacy, knowledge translation, nursing, patient advocacy, philosophy, and psychology EthiCare Solutions can work with you to improve the ethical soundness of your organization.

PRACTICE

At EthiCare Solutions we have experience identifying, assessing, and providing possible solutions to moral dilemmas that occur across the continuum of care.  Whether at the clinical level or at the systems level we can guide discussions involving complex ethical issues with clients, families, and care providers.  Click on the link to read more about our scope of practice and the types of ethical issues that we address.
